Welcome to ReIY

ReIY - short for Reuse It Yourself - is a UK-wide network of building material reuse centres. These are enterprises which collect surplus construction materials and sell them on. Based on a successful USA model they bring many benefits, including:

  • creating new jobs and helping economic regeneration
  • reducing waste to landfill, disposal costs and fly tipping
  • reducing CO2 emissions.

BioRegional support the development of a UK-wide network of stores to reuse surplus building material. This aims to complement community wood recycling initiatives and encourage different reuse activities to be co-located at one site, as is being proposed within the London Reuse Network. Contact us to find out more about existing stores and for support in establishing new stores.
